Opalescence PF 40% Whitening Instructions
- Brush and floss your teeth before whitening.
- Place a small drop (about half the size of a grain of rice) of whitening gel in the facial side of each tooth compartment in the custom tray.
- Seat the tray fully and gently. Wipe away any excess gel that contacts the gums with a cotton swab or clean finger.
- Wear the trays for 20–30 minutes per application. Do not exceed the recommended wear time.
- After removing the trays:
- Spit out any remaining gel.
- Rinse your mouth thoroughly with water.
- Rinse the trays with cool water and allow them to air dry before storing.
- Avoid foods and beverages that can stain teeth (coffee, tea, red wine, berries, curry, tobacco, etc.) for at least 1–2 hours after whitening.
- If you experience tooth sensitivity, skip whitening for 1–2 days or reduce wear time. Using a sensitivity toothpaste (such as one containing potassium nitrate) can help.
- Store the whitening syringes in the refrigerator when not in use. Do not freeze. Bring the gel to room temperature before use.
- Continue whitening daily until the desired shade is achieved or as directed by your dentist.
